Three countries.
One builder’s spirit.
Teknor began in June 2016. The passion behind it goes back generations.
A journey that became a legacy.
During World War II, our founder’s grandfather left Italy for Venezuela on a voyage that lasted months. On board, he met builders who became lifelong friends. In Venezuela, they worked to make a living, pooled their savings and bought land to build a small apartment building. Over time, those beginnings grew into major shopping center projects in Maracaibo.
Construction was part of growing up.
Surrounded by that world, Baudilio Betancourt developed a passion for building and graduated in civil and structural engineering. In 2014, circumstances in Venezuela led him to move to the United States, carrying his family’s experience and a dream of building something of his own.
One opportunity opened the door.
Teknor started by supporting other contractors with renovation drawings and permit-related work. Then a friend invited Baudilio to look at a project for the company where he worked. Teknor visited the site, prepared the estimate and completed the job. That first opportunity became the beginning of a new chapter.
The legacy continues, one project at a time.
Today, Teknor brings that same builder’s spirit to paving, concrete, painting and property improvements across Greater Houston—helping improve communities, transform spaces and build new paths in the country our founder now calls home.
A family legacy. A new American chapter.
